COACHING STAFF

Robert Rose – Head Coach / Camp Director

Coach Rose is the head coach of the Fighting Squirrels men’s soccer program and has been coaching at various levels for over 12 years. Coach Rose holds several USSF coaching licenses and diplomas from the United Soccer Coaches. In addition to serving as the Director of the Mary Baldwin / Stuart Hall Soccer Academy, Coach Rose will work with various age groups throughout the week.

 


 

 

Brandon Fern – Technical Director

Coach Fern is the lead assistant for the Fighting Squirrels men’s soccer program and is the Technical Director for the Waynesboro High School Little Giants girls’ soccer teams, in addition to leading several youth girls’ teams. A Shenandoah Valley native, Coach Fern has established multiple player development initiatives throughout the region and is an integral member of the Mary Baldwin / Stuart Hall Soccer Academy staff. Coach Fern will work with each age group at various points throughout the week.

 

 

 

 

Scott Harrison

Coach Harrison is a mainstay in youth and high school soccer throughout the Shenandoah Valley, with over 29 years of coaching experience. Coach Harrison is currently the head coach for the Riverheads High School Gladiators varsity boys’ soccer team. Coach Harrison holds the USSF National Youth License, the United Soccer Coaches Advanced National, and Director of Coaching Diplomas. In addition, Coach Harrison has been named Coach of the Year at both the state and conference levels in multiple seasons and has produced a multitude of All-Conference, All-Region, and All-State players during his tenure. Coach Harrison is an integral part of the Mary Baldwin / Stuart Hall Soccer Academy staff and will be working with each age group at various points throughout the week.  

 


 

Marcel Ciascai

Coach Ciascai is the head coach of the Fort Defiance Indians varsity boys’ soccer team, and the Stuart Hall Red Dragons junior varsity boys’ team. As a former semi-professional player from Romania, and a highly experienced youth and high school coach, Coach Ciascai brings a wealth of experience to the Mary Baldwin / Stuart Hall Soccer Academy staff. Coach Ciascai will work with each age group at various points throughout the week.

 

 


 

Brandon Couling

Coach Couling is an assistant coach for the Fighting Squirrels men’s soccer program. Originally from the Isle of Wight (UK), Coach Couling holds the FA Level 2 Coaching Badge for outfield players. Coach Couling’s played for Southampton FC before coming to the US to complete his education at NCAA Division II institution, Lubbock Christian University (TX). Coach Couling also coached at the AFC Bournemouth Academy, Southampton FC Academy, and the Steve Hunt Soccer Camp (Isle of Wight), before joining the Fighting Squirrels. Coach Couling will work with each age group at various points throughout the week.

 

 

Elliot Chadderton

Coach Chadderton is the lead goalkeeper coach for the Fighting Squirrels men’s soccer program. Originally from Oldham (UK), Coach Chadderton has played for FA clubs Manchester United, and Barnsley FC, prior to coming to the US to complete his education at NCAA Division II institution Chowan University (NC). Coach Chadderton holds the FA Level 2 Coaching Badge for outfield players & goalkeepers, with coaching experience at Fort Lewis College, and the Hawks Soccer Academy, before joining the Fighting Squirrels. Coach Chadderton will work with goalkeepers of all ages throughout the week.
 

 

Samantha Honig

Coach Honig has 20+ years of soccer playing experience.  After playing youth soccer in the Northern Virginia area, Coach Honig played Division I soccer at the University of Richmond. Coach Honig now coaches at the premier level for SOCA-Augusta for ages U11-U13. In addition, Coach Honig is a volunteer coach for the Lee High Girls Varsity Soccer team.  Coach Honig holds the USSF E License, the USSF D License, and the United Soccer Coaches Level I Goalkeeper Diploma.
